At the end state in 2012, Fort Meade will have a total of 2,627 residential homes that have been newly constructed or newly renovated. Residences include single-family homes as well as townhouses, in architectural styles ranging from Colonial to Arts & Crafts. Picerne Military Housing will also manage and maintain the property for the next 50 years.

If an existing home is slated for renovation or demolition, Picerne will move the current residents into homes which have been improved from the home they currently live in. Existing homes that are slated for future demolition and re-development will be renovated to make them comfortable for the residents until the time when homes will be removed. Renovations will include upgrades such as carpeting, vinyl, new electrical fixtures and plumbing hardware.
