Leasing your home is simple!

Our Relocations Specialists are here to help make your move on post as seamless as possible. Active duty military families are required to simply fill out an application, provide a current copy of their orders, and their supporting dependent documentation. Our Relocation Specialist will then assist you with the selection of homes and availability for your rank band and time frame.

Eligibility Criteria

You are eligible for Privatized Family Housing at Fort Meade if you are an active duty service member assigned to an installation within 50 miles of Fort Meade, a military retiree, or a federal employee.  Service members can be placed on the waitlist up to 60 days in advance.

For new move-ins, on the date of occupancy, military members must have a minimum of six months remaining on their current duty assignment. For more details on housing rules and requirements call the Leasing and Relocation Center at 410-305-1258.

Renter’s Insurance Information
As a resident and an active duty Service Member in Picerne’s homes at Fort Meade, your family will automatically receive $20,000 of insurance coverage for personal home contents. This is just our way of saying thank you for choosing Picerne Military Housing. USI , an independent insurance agency will provide service and coverage. Please contact your neighborhood office should you need to file a claim.

Are you getting to Fort Meade before all your belongings? The Lending Closet can help supply the essentials for living until your furniture and household goods arrive. Located on post at 4217 Roberts Avenue, they can be reached at 301-677-5590 to make borrowing arrangements.

Some items that may be available include: futon mattress, hi-chair, kitchen loaner kit, car seat, folding table, iron and ironing board, folding chairs and a crib
