Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation

Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) is a comprehensive network of support and leisure services designed to enhance the lives of soldiers (Active, Reserve and Guard), their families, civilian employees, military retirees and other eligible participants. FMWR employees strive to deliver the highest-quality programs and services—from sports programs, to child care, to special events. Here on Fort Meade, Army FMWR supports all branches of military service. FMWR contributes to the military’s strength and readiness by offering services that reduce stress, build skills, self-confidence and foster strong espirit-de-corps. FMWR on Fort Meade is a subset of The U.S. Army Family and MWR Command (FMWRC), the Army's headquarters for FMWR programs.
